Happy Fourth of July

It's been a long weekend for those of you that work and a busy one for me! My friends from out of town were all in this weekend which was great. I love seeing them and catching up on life, but sometimes it reminds me of how old I am becoming.

Saturday was spent chatting on the lake, snacking, and what is a weekend without some loud music. JJ and I went to Stir to see Better than Ezra because my mom and her boyfriend scored us free tickets...thank you. It was a great show the band was funny and I was surprised at all of the songs that I recognized. It's funny though, Better than Ezra is not a band that I would say I am a fan of, but it was a good time.

Monday fireworks at Rosenblatt and good food at a friends house. I had a good time!

I seem to be struggling with the sleep and feeling good in general lately. Two out of the last three days I have been lucky to get to sleep by 3am and last night I saw 5:30 am click up on my alarm. I wasn't pleased when I woke up at 9:00 am. I am now afraid to nap. I want to go to bed early tonight and get back into the swing of a normal life. Nothing new on jobs. I am soooo tired.........

UPDATE...A Few short hours later:
For some reason this blog made my mother cry (see my only comment). So just in case I thought I should clarify the girl is not crying because I am sad. She is crying on the Fourth of July because of the sad, sad state of affairs in our beloved country. I chose not to comment on this because I am tired and didn't feel much like ranting and raving today.
