Lot's to Tell...

Well it has been a long and crazy month and I'll sum it up quickly because quite frankly I am tired.

I spent two weeks in Houston, TX with my man and it was great to relax and hang out with J. We went to a couple Astro's games, made enchiladas for his parents, went to a Houston Dynamo (Major League Soccer) game, participated in my first crawfish boil, spent the day in Galveston (that's where the picture is from it would be of J and I, but my hair doesn't agree with TX) and most importantly I now have a decent tan from afternoons reading at the pool. It was a great time and I miss him already and I've only been home for a week.

Since the completion of my student teaching I had the unfortunate news that my school screwed up...again. I have one class that I was missing and I'm taking it online at Phoenix University. It's not only my first online class, but my first graduate level course and it hasn't been too bad. It keeps me busy, but honestly I haven't learned too much. I guess you get out of it what you put in it and I've been doing bare minimum. I am still looking for jobs. I didn't have any interviews in TX (much to my mother's delight) and I have had one interview here at Bellevue. I am still looking for a summer job as well, and haven't had the best of luck with that either.

To keep me busy I have begun yet another home improvement project for the last week my home has been in complete disarray and my father and I have been refinishing my wood floors. I am completely exhausted, but I think that the final product is great. I am now painting trim and closets-if you were wondering, it's not fun. I am looking forward to putting my furniture back in the appropriate rooms at the end of the week. Until then I will continue to reside in my basement.

My sister was engaged to her boyfriend today. That is pretty exciting news they are planning on having the wedding some time this summer. It's all moving very fast, but as long as she's happy Jeff will be fine :-). I also read on a friends blog today that he popped the question to his little woman. WOW! Lot's of weddings happening! Happy people in love...

Other than that I have been reading a lot! Marley and Me is a great book about a couple and their yellow lab (that is totally like my baby Chance). I truly laughed out loud because it was so funny, but of course the end is sad. I also read The Di Vinci Code, finally for all of you that said I must read it. It was good - not amazing, but good. I am currently in the middle of We The Living by Ayn Rand and I'm really enjoying it - thanks J for reminding me it was in my pile of books. Next on the list Bad Twin the companion novel to the TV show lost. I am sad that the end of the season is here for my television shows and without cable there really isn't much to watch.
