Paper Clips

I just finished watching a documentary called Paper Clips. It is about a middle school project that started with a Tennessee school who wanted to learn about prejudice and the holocaust. I thought it was awesome. I great DVD to put in your collection if you are a teacher! I picked it up by chance at Blockbuster and I would suggest it to anyone.

New Orleans Mayor Says God Mad at U.S.

This was forwarded to me and I had to post it!

Well that settles it...God hates us! I mean really he must have really hated the people in the 12 countries that the tsunami hit last year killing almost 200,000 people, and that is only naming one other natural disaster that hit the world.

Vampire seeks governor's job

Not much to say here...seriously??????

The Week Of The Uneventful

Student teaching started this week and I can't say that there is much to tell. This week I spent most of my time observing the classroom and trying to remember some of the studnets names.

Friday however, was a little bit crazy. My cooperating teacher went home sick and I was left to teach the students for the day with a substitute observing. It went well for the first class, but there were a couple where the kids were a little crazy and loud. I don' t think it would have been quite as bad except that it was embarrassing to have the substitute see it. I scolded them and one of the classes actually listened for a while which was nice. It was stressful, but it was helpful because I got my feet wet.

I got my new digital camera this week and I have been trying to figure out my new MP3 player as well. I think it's more that my computer is ancient and slow then me not knowing what to do, but patience is a virtue and I'm trying to keep mine.

Still playing too much PS2...

It's now time to quit procrastinating and grade the papers that I took home.
