I Know I Said the Slacking Would End Soon, but...

It's been a crazy week. I'm really enjoying my time at N. High School. It's been interesting to see how my teacher manages her classrooms and the different types of classes that are offered. IT seems that we make things too easy for students today. How are they supposed to learn how to meet challenges if we make the bar so low that anyone could hop over it? It's ridiculous to me the lack of accountability that is exhibited in the public school systems. I think this goes for many levels from the students to the administrators. It seems that teachers have very little true control over their classrooms. I know this varies based on schools and demographics. I just hope that I am lucky enough that I can find a school where I don't give up on student accountability in the classroom.

Iowa State vs. Colorado!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 30-16 Cyclones!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What an awesome game! My team was strong defensively throughout the entire game despite some serious set backs because of really poor calls by the referees. Seriously twice they decided to review a play after we had already completed the next play. The pre-game was also interested as many a drunk tail-gater huddled inside the Hilton coliseum less than an hour before game time. My favorite person was the man who leaving the coliseum said, "looks fine to me what do they expect a tornado to just drop out of the sky". I laughed...simply because yes that is what tornadoes do.
