So I was feeling a little old today and I thought about posting a blog whining about turning 27 in a few months, but decided just to find a couple funny articles online to comment about instead. I hadn't look at one of my favorite "odd news" links in a while, so here is what I found...sorry the links were too long for my blog page.
Fertile women dress to impress?

The odd way that the sexes react to their hormones never ceases to amaze me. It seems fairly clear to me that despite our want of having everyone be the same it is clear that we are not the same at all. Anyway is there some research out there showing that at different stages in men's health they behave much the same way???? I am thinking I have heard of this before, but I didn't feel like looking for it this evening.

Well what did they expect would happen if they burned large amounts of marijuana??? Haha!
Disney says "non" to Mouse orgy

Is there really anything that can be said about this? The headline pretty much says it all :-).
It is described in the title. Simple observations about life and my thoughts of the crazy world we live in.

Long time since last post...
I know I said that I would be avoiding updates, but I'm sort of obligated to give everyone a little bit of an update as my life has changed drastically.
My house sold very quickly after it was put on the market so the last couple weeks I've been trying to get things organized and with C's wedding and A's reception it went very, very fast!!!! I have moved out of my house and am currently living with my mother again until J and I figure out what the next plan is...we are trying to look at all of our options and a new one is considering buying a new home here and having him move to the ol' CB. It is cheaper than me moving my home and the boys to TX, but we have a lot to consider and we want to make the best decision for both of us. Now that I have been reduced to nothing but a hefty savings (not exactly a bad thing). I am fairly open to moving and still staying here - despite the untimeliness of this new development in the discussion.
Things are going ok at school I am not a huge fan of co-teaching, but it is getting better. I have decided to stay at AL for the entire semester, but I am definitely not going to finish out the year. Even if we do decide to stay here I want to get into some of the other school districts and see which ones I like and don't like. It's sooooo important to find a school with teachers you enjoy working with everyday.
Other than that things are a little stressful and I am sad about my house. I miss it already and it has only been a day. Thank you Jess, D, Dad, Mom, Jk and M for all of your help you guys were amazing this weekend. I can not say it enough - my peeps rock!!!
I'm trying to keep myself busy with planning a skiing trip to CO for Feb, paying off bills and soon trying to find a new home.
Hope all is well in your worlds - more fun to come!

Silly Kids

Ok so I have been with students for the last couple days and all is going well. Here are a couple of the funny things that have happened or that I learned...
I saw a shirt that said spooning leads to forking...so I tried to think of every dirty thing that I could to figure out what forking was...much to my dismay forking is just f*cking ahhh..I get it, but it's really not cool. If there is more to this story someone let me know because I like to have the inside scoop on the chillen. I think it would be fun to wear one of these shirts on casual Friday, just to see the kids expressions because they know it's wrong and it would be fun. There are various tshirts of similar nature floating around the school, just bad enough to be annoying, but not bad enough to make them go to the office. I have also noticed an influx of Pink Floyd tshirts...hmmm the question is do they know anything about Pink Floyd other than it seems to be the kind of music that people get high to...at least that is what I heard...again I am not impressed this does not make them cool?
Being the short person in the hall it is easy to catch students doing stupid crap and saying bad things. For example one of my students was behind me today and he was throwing out all kinds of bombs, so I stopped and asked he to repeat what he said, he was about 6'2" and was speechless. It was fun.My one class that I have alone was good my kids are really paying attention and I think we are going to read The Hobbit if I can get my hands on some books.
I still do not have a computer or access to all the programs, but hey maybe someday. One of my co-teachers is good to work with and I haven't really figured out the other one, but the vibe is not exactly positive. Oh well you win some you lose some.
